"Follow Your Bliss"

– Joseph campbell

Welcome!

I’ve been following my Bliss since the 1980s when I first discovered Joseph Campbell. It has taken me from university classrooms to hiking ridgelines with trappers working to save an endangered species. And it has led me to my recently-found identity as a Spiritual Ecologist. It’s who I’ve been for decades, but it’s nice to have a label that summarizes my beliefs. And it’s nice to have a tribe.

I also had lots of “metaphysical” experiences in my life and I’ve been in touch with my guides for decades. I now channel their loving messages for humanity.

Best of all, following my Bliss has led me to a happy, idyllic life in the mountain community of Idyllwild, California. I’ve never been happier.

Idyllwild's Native Lemon Lilies

Bliss is being in nature with my camera, and I love sharing the magical moments I experience.

In 2012 I began a spiritual practice of taking a nature photo every day. I published them on my IdyllwildThings Facebook page and on my website:

IdyllWildThings.com

There’s also a Photo Blog here on the site as a separate page, because I just couldn’t help it. I’ve slacked off with daily posting, but I still require the beauty of nature each day.

Science of Mind Principles for Kids – About God and You

I collaborated with Science of Mind minister, Rev. Doug Yagaloff,  to develop a 7-lesson curriculum for Sunday Schools, but can be used anywhere children (of all ages) are found. We wanted to teach children that they are part of God – powerful, loving, creative, perfect beings made of Love.

Dreams Come True – Idyllwild’s Lemon Lilies Come Home

Idyllwild’s dream of restoring its native Lemon Lilies inspired this book for children, written from the perspective of Grandmother Mountain who loves us all.

Home, Sweet Home in the San Jacinto Mountains

Idyllwild is an amazing place to call home!

(SPOILER ALERT: It’s Heaven!)

After 10 years of being here, I’ve discovered that I require a number of things: nature, a camera, live music, and a beautiful place to walk my dog. And, I have learned, good friends and a true sense of community. Idyllwild has it all.

Fun Fact

Bet you didn’t know that our Mayor is a Golden Retriever! I made a little 9 minute video to prove it! Follow the link below to check it out.

About the Bee and Flower Photo

Cold and snowy winters can get to feel pretty long, and you find yourself dreaming of spring. And seeing your feet. (Socks are a must to keep your feet warm. 24/7. For months.)

Luckily in Idyllwild, California, spring is just a trip down the mountain to the Palm Desert area. An annual Wildflower Festival takes place in early March, and I was so thrilled to see the pollinators at work! I still had snow on the ground and there was more on the way.

Check out those pollen sacs! Happy bee. Happy flower. Happy Spring.
